Our Rich Heritage Since 1931
HSS is the founding institution of the Hanwant School Managing Committee. Continuous operation since 1931 — the four other HSMC schools came later, around the same Pal Road campus.
Founded 1931
Shri Hanwant Senior Secondary School was founded in 1931 as the committee's first school — a boys' institution in Jodhpur's Shastri Nagar area. The four sister schools (AJDG, BDRKA, PKA, KPPP) came later under the same managing committee.

What's in the building
Physics, Chemistry, and Biology labs for senior-secondary practicals. One Windows computer lab for the NCERT computer subject. Smart boards in every classroom. The committee's Apple AI Lab is a separate shared resource for Class IX+ students.
Longest-running in the committee
HSS opened before the other four HSMC schools existed. Many Jodhpur families have three generations who studied here — grandfather, father, and son — across 95 years of continuous operation.
Today
HSS continues as a boys' school for Class VI to XII under the Hanwant School Managing Committee, following the RBSE syllabus with NCERT texts. Same Pal Road address since 1931. Session 2026-27 admissions are open.
